Washington woman was caretaker of adults, children
Naomi "Gram" Meneely, 79, of Jefferson Avenue, Washington, died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2002, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born October 4, 1922, in Independence, a daughter of Clarence and Wanetta Cooper Meneely.
Miss Meneely was Protestant.
She lived with Stanley and Nettie Painter for several years on a farm in Avella and was a caretaker of several adults and children for a number of years.
Surviving are a daughter, Audine King Beno, with whom she made her home; two grandsons, Mark "Buggsy" and Kenneth Patterson; two stepgranddaughters, Dawn Caserta and Stephanie Richter; four great-grandchildren; 19 nieces and nephews; a brother, Charles Meneely of San Bernadino, Calif.; and two sisters, Beulah Meneely of Wellsburg, W.Va., and Marjorie Kirschner of Washington.
Deceased are five brothers, Dwight "Bud", Emmett "Shorty", Albert (Keith), Harry "Red" and Harold "Lefty" Meneely.
MENEELY - Friends of Naomi "Gram" Meneely of Jefferson Avenue, Washington, who died Sunday, September 1, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 4. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery.
