Longtime glassworker
Laura L. Schultz, 94, of Washington, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2003, in her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 4, 1909, in Paintsville, Ky., a daughter of Fred and Rose Stanley Preston.
Mrs. Schultz was Baptist.
She had been employed for 35 years by Brockway Glass, Continental Can and Hazel-Atlas.
Mrs. Schultz enjoyed crocheting and flea markets.
In August 1941, she married Peter Frank Schultz, who died March 28, 1966.
Surviving are three sons, Fred William Schultz at home, George Willard Schultz and Ray McMullen of Philadelphia; a daughter, Deborah Ann Hain of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Estelle Porter of Elyria, Ohio, and Grace Roman of Paintsville; and three grandchildren, Nicole Fetingas, George W. Schultz Jr. and Erin Darr.
Deceased are seven sisters, Nell Spradlin, Julia Preston, Maude Jackson, Alice Roberts, Inez Davis, Kiturah Preston and Rose Preston; and three brothers, James Preston, Fred Preston Jr. and Robert Preston.
SCHULTZ - Friends of Laura L. Schultz of Washington, who died Saturday, December 6, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, with the Rev. Gary Gibson officiating. Entombment will be held in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum.
