Vietnam veteran
Hugh Daniel "Buck" Shadeck, 62, of Washington, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2004, in his home.
He was born April 2, 1941, in Clearfield, a son of George James and Ruth Imogene Conklin Shadeck.
Mr. Shadeck graduated from Clearfield High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam.
He was employed as a driver by Truck N' Stuff.
Mr. Shadeck enjoyed fishing, going to Wild Things baseball games and going to the beach with his family.
He was a member of American Legion Post 944 in McMurray.
On February 14, 1985, he married Patricia Lynn Bruce, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, John J. and Daniel L., both of Washington, and Timothy A. Shadeck, at home; three daughters, Cindy Crouse of Taylorstown, Christina Baldwin of Washington and Tiffany Bruce of Pittsburgh; a brother, Lester David Shadeck of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Sara Agnes Myers of Akron; 10 grandchildren, Anthony, Johnny, Nicole and Dylan Shadeck, Brian and Joshua Ardeno, Herbie and Olivia Crouse, James Martin and Angela Baldwin; and two great-grandchildren.
SHADECK - A memorial service for Hugh Daniel "Buck" Shadeck of Washington, who died Tuesday, February 3, 2004, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2004, in Taylorstown United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Patricia Lutes officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
