Animal lover enjoyed rock collecting
Esker Harold Cottrill III, 26, of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, as a result of a drowning accident.
He was born August 23, 1981, in Washington, a son of Esker H. Jr. and Sherry Marshman Cottrill of Washington.
Mr. Cottrill attended University of Phoenix and Triangle Tech. He was a handyman by trade.
Mr. Cottrill loved animals, especially his dog, Blaze, and enjoyed rock collecting.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a son, Shayne Beirs of Washington; three sisters, Lillian (Eric) Miller of Washington, Priscilla (John) Duchi of Canonsburg and Heather (David) Cottrill of Washington; maternal grandmother, Alice Marshman, and great-grandmother, Lucille Ackley, both of Washington; paternal grandfather, Esker H. Cottrill Sr. of Bentleyville; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his maternal grandfather, Robert Marshman Sr., and paternal grandmother, Glenda Duffer.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, in Washington Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Marshman officiating. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, June 14, 2008, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. The family suggests memorial contributions c/o William G.
