Eleanor Hamilton Moss, 79, of Greensburg, formerly of Washington, died Thursday October 2, 2003 at Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh as a result of an automobile accident. She was born in Hopewell Township, Washington County on September 26, 1924 a daughter of Robert and Mabel Bernice Wilson Hamilton. Mrs. Moss was a 1943 graduate of Trinity High School and also a graduate of Penn Commercial College. She had worked as a secretary at Jessop Steel, Farm Credit and First Federal of Washington. She was a member of; Professional Business Women, Greensburg Chapter # 281 Order of Eastern Star, West Moreland Hospital Hospitality Supervisor, a Volunteer at Butler Hospital, Kiwanis Club Director, Y.W.C.A., Republican Women, and a Deacon at Maplewood United Presbyterian Church.
On October 15, 1960 she married E. Dale Moss who died on June 1, 1987.
Surviving are a son, Dale Allen Moss of Greensburg; two brothers, Robert Hamilton of Claysville and Alexander Hamilton of Washington; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is a brother Jay L. Hamilton.
Friends of Eleanor Hamilton Moss of Greensburg, formerly of Washington who died on Thursday, October 2, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Monday in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington where services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at 11:00 AM, Rev. Steven Lazor officiating. Interment will follow in Upper Buffalo Church Cemetery. A Memorial Srevice will be held on Friday, October 10, 2003 at 11:00 AM in the Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, Greensburg.
