Rosalie Mae Thomas Balius, 73, of Washington, died Monday September 29, 2003 in the Washington Hospital following a short illness. She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana a daughter of Wilbur C. and Rose M. Forester Thomas. She was a 1948 graduate of Midway High School and had worked at Troutmans Department Store in Greensburg, American Foods, Inc. in Slovan, in both the Deaf & Dietary Departments at Western Center, and later retired after having been a Psych Aide at Mayview State Hospital.
Surviving are two sons, Russell Gillis of Washington, David Frazee of Crafton; two daughters, Diane Frazee Teeters of Delmont, Denise Frazee Kerns of Prosperity; two brothers, Jay Thomas of Ocala, Florida and Donald Thomas of Portland, Oregon; two sisters, Shirley Pasquale of Burgettstown and Janice Krawchyk of Cherry Valley; nine grandchildren, Jason, David, Mathew, Joe, Chris, Steven, Nicole, Tyler, Courtney.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, Rolland, Gene, and Rex Thomas.
At the request of the deceased, no public visitation will be held. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of donors choice. Arrangements under the direction of William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd.
