Minnie Elizabeth Klein, 87, of Washington, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2005, in the home of her daughter, after a lingering illness. She was born April 17, 1917, in Washington, a daughter of Solomon and Anabelle Sanders. Mrs. Klein was a homemaker. She taught Sunday school and was a member of Deliverance Tabernacle Church, West Newton. She also cooked and cleaned for the Salvation Army. On January 13, 1935, she married Clarence Alfred Francis Klein, who died July 26, 1969. Surviving are five daughters, Alice Mull, Ethel Hutter, Dessie Closser and Helen Cooper, all of Washington, and Cheryl Klein Caldwell of New Castle; a sister, Callie Kimble of Lexington, Ky.; 28 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; four nieces and four nephews. Deceased are a granddaughter, Carol Faye Mull; a daughter, Ann Berisford; two sisters, Eva Irene Bougher and Margaret Ruth Harris; and a nephew.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, with the Rev. Dolores Globosky officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
