Bill Addison McKean, 82, of Washington, died Friday, January 7, 2005, in Donnell House, Washington. He was born September 23, 1922, in Washington, a son of Brady and Belle A. Burt McKean. Mr. McKean was Presbyterian and attended Washington High School. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater. Mr. McKean worked at Jessop Steel for 47 1/2 years as head melter in the electric furnace department. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 927 Hawkins Post Home, Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175, LOOM 22 and Jessop Club. Mr. McKean enjoyed fishing and hunting. His wife, Corrine Jordon McKean, died in February 1999. Surviving are a son, Kevin E. McKean of Washington; and three grandchildren, Jamie, Jason and Paul. Deceased are a son, Jeffrey McKean; a brother, Charles McKean; and a sister, Mona Ruth Rosing.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, January 10, with the Rev. Ford Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
