Frank J. Cole, Sr.

Driver for Town Taxi and GG&C Frank J. Cole Jr., 74, of Washington, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2003, in Washington Hospital. He had been ill since November. He was born July 13, 1929, in Wolfdale, a son of Frank J. Sr. and Olive Pettit Cole. Mr. Cole was a high school graduate who was employed by Canonsburg Pottery for 13 years and worked as a taxi driver for Town Taxi and GG&C. He was a former member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8319. On March 17, 1983, he married Lucille DeClair, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Bruce M. Cole and Frank J. Cole III, both of Charleroi, Brian J. DeClair of Washington and John DeClair of Oceanside, Calif.; three daughters, Judith Weirich of Scenery Hill, Kimberly DeClair of Washington and Cathy Gibbs of Canonsburg; a sister, Wanda Dillard of Washington; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A son, Terry Lee Cole, is deceased. COLE - Friends of Frank J. Cole Jr. of Washington, who died Thursday, August 21, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 25, followed by interment in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at graveside by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175.
