Frank Louis “ Lud “ Ziemba, 91, of Hampton, New Hampshire, formerly of Washington, died Monday, August 18, 2003. He was born on July 20, 1912 in Donora, a son of Anthony and Rosalia Pikula Ziemba. He had worked many years as a maintenance supervisor at Mon Valley Hospital. Mr. Ziemba served in the United States Army in World War II , having received; Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with 2-Bronze Stars, American Defense Service Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1-Bronze Star, Good Conduct Ribbon. Mr. Ziemba was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church.
On March 3, 1946 he married Bernetta Sekora who died on September 30, 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Janice Ziemba Horrocks of Michigan; two brothers, Marian and Kazimierz Zieba, and a sister, Julia Jaroszki, all of Poland; a grandson, George Louis Horrocks.
Preceding him in death are a brother, Stefan, and three sisters, Jozefa, Stefania, and Zofia.
Friends of Frank Louis “ Lud “ Ziemba, who died on Monday, August 18, 2003 will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22, 2003 in Holy Trinity National Catholic Church at 9:00 AM , Rev. John Mack as celebrant. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Military honors graveside by Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175, American Legion.
