John Joseph Boyd

Vietnam veteran from Butler John Joseph Boyd, 52, of Butler, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, July 3, 2003, in his home. He was born January 4, 1951, in Nuremberg, Germany, a son of John and Mary Martinovich Boyd. Mr. Boyd was a disabled veteran who served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and Indochina. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry badge, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device and an overseas bar. BOYD - Friends of John Joseph Boyd of Butler, formerly of Washington, who died Thursday, July 3, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, with the Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175 will conduct military rites.
