Lola Blanche Yovich, 94, of Washington died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 in the Washington Hospital Emergency Room. She had been in declining health for the last year. She was born in Holt, West Virginia on September 13, 1908 a daughter of Charles E. and Minnie McElfresh. Mrs. Yovich was a former member of the Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church. She had worked as a Hand Painter at Washington Glass Company and during World War II as a welder at L.S.T. Boats in Ambridge, PA.
She enjoyed crochet and quilting and had won several ribbons at various County Fairs.
On November 24, 1924 she married Wayne M. Yovich who died on November 11, 1967.
Surviving are a daughter, Helen Bea Erwin with whom she made her home; six grandchildren, Lola Cline, Lori, David, Lisa, Clint Erwin, and Jayne Chianelli; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are four brothers and five sisters.
Friends of Lola Blanche Yovich, 94 of Washington, who died on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington where funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
