Ruth E. Wasselloff, 84, 0f Washington, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 in the Greenery following a lengthy illness. She was born in East Finley Township on August 14, 1919 a daughter of Thomas F. and Bessie Huffman Ealy. Mrs. Wasselloff had once worked at Brockway and Hazel Atlas Glass and later was a self-employed Beautician.
On November 30, 1946 she married John Wasselloff who died on September 9, 1982. Surviving are a son, Ralph E. Piatt of Washington; three sisters, Margaret Clutter and Doris Pettit, both of Waynesburg, and Lillian Moyar of North Port, Florida; four grandchildren, Donald, David, Dennis, and Daniel Piatt; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are four brothers, Byron, Stewart, Thomas, and Paul Ealy ; three sisters, Gladys Mankey, Gertrude Danley, and Anna Belle Hull.
Friends of Ruth Ealy Wasselloff of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Washington, who died on September 11, 2003 will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington where services will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2003 at 2:30 PM, Rev. Dr. Daniel Stinson officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
