Robert Earl Deyell, Jr.

Worked at Troutman's, vo-tech school Robert Earl Deyell Jr., 62, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 24, 2003, in his home, following a four-month illness. He was born October 13, 1940, in Washington, a son of Velma Junoge Deyell of Washington and the late Robert Earl Deyell Sr. Mr. Deyell attended West Washington United Methodist Church. He once worked at Troutman's Department Store and Western Area Vocational-Technical School in the maintenance department. He also worked at the former Tylerdale Garage Auto Parts and drove a truck for Carter Oil Co. On November 2, 1990, he married Esther Ray, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Earl Phillips of Washington; three brothers, Gene, Ron and Bill Deyell; three sisters, Peg, Barb and Nellie; two grandchildren, Earl Phillips II and Heather N. Phillips; and two great-grandchildren. A brother, Lyle Deyell, is deceased. At the request of the deceased, no public visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington.
