Frances R. Pugne

Frances R. Pugne, 61, of Washington died Sunday, September 7, 2003 in the Presbyterian Medical Center following a 3 month illness. She was born on July 8, 1942 in Mount Pleasant, a daughter of the late George Johnston and Louise Guerri Johnston Mazza of Washington. After graduating from Washington High School she graduated from the Washington Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at various local facilities having last worked at Beverly Health Care for eight years prior to her illness. She was an avid football fan and had a very strong sense of humor. Surviving in addition to her mother are a son, Mark A. Pugne of Washington; two daughters, Karen Keith of Tampa, Florida and Lisa Pugne of Zelienople; two brothers, Tony and Louis Mazza, both of Washington; a sister, Valerie Greiner of Plymouth, Michigan; three step-sisters, Michele Prewett , Sandi Derrelle , and Donna Johnston. Preceding her in death is her step-father, Baptiste Mazza. Friends of Frances R. Pugne, 61 of Washington, who died on Sunday, September 7, 2003 will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on Tuesday in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Hillary Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Thomas D. O’Neill celebrant. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery , McMurray. The family requests memorial donations be made to: American Cancer Society, 357 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301.
