Robert E. Donaldson

Robert Donaldson, 85 formerly of Washington, died Thursday August 7, 2003 in Akron, Ohio. He was born on February 12, 1918, in Washington, a son of Ray and Wynette Donaldson of Washington. He had two brothers John Donaldson formerly of Washington now residing in The Villages Florida and William Donaldson formerly of Washington and now deceased. Mr. Donaldson attended Washington High School and Connelly Trade School in Pittsburg, was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Masons Loyalty Lodge 645 Akron, OH. He worked at Jessop Steel, Crother’s Ice Cream and was owner of KLS, a custom control panel fabrication company. Mr. Donaldson was a 50-year member of the Plumber and Pipe Fitters Union - Local 219. He enjoyed hunting, fishing (on the Allegheny River near Kinzua Pa.), golfing, photography and SCUBA diving. On July 11, 1941 he married Anna Jean Warnick who survives. Also surviving is his eldest son Robert Donaldson of Mansfield Ohio and David Donaldson of Tampa Florida. He has 5 grandchildren Jimmy, Diana, and Nancy Donaldson of Mansfield and Daniel and Jay Donaldson of Tampa Florida. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2003 at 1:00 PM at William Neal Funeral Home at 925 Allison Avenue.
