Retired from Jones and Ghrist. Lucille Ross Ewing, 86, of Washington, died at 12:50 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2004, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington, following a two-year illness. She was born October 25, 1918, in East Finley Township, a daughter of Harry Guy and Lorena Worrell Ross. Mrs. Ewing was retired, having last been employed at Jones and Ghrist. She was a Protestant, a member of Arms Club and a graduate of Prosperity High School. On February 19, 1954, she married Walter Ewing, who died August 1, 1988. Surviving are two sisters, Freda, wife of Henry Szotkowksi of Washington and Norma Jean, wife of George Silvers of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are her parents; and a brother, D.L. "Red" Ross. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
