Joseph Lloyd Munce

Joseph Lloyd Munce, 82, of Washington, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, in Kade Nursing Home. He was born September 5, 1925, in Washington, a son of Hugh Miller and Florence Katherine Clarke Munce. Mr. Munce attended Laboratory School and Davis School, a one-room school, in South Strabane Township. Mr. Munce worked on farms in the area. He was interested in genealogy and local history. He was a member of Chartier’s Hill United Presbyterian Church. Surviving is a brother, Ralph Clarke Munce, of Washington. Deceased is a brother, Hugh Munce, Jr. Friends will be received 9 to 11 a.m., the time of the service, Monday, August 11, 2008, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Donald Austin officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
