Norma Jean Falvo

Norma Jean Falvo, 73, of Washington, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2004, in Washington County Health Center, Washington, following a three-year illness. She was born July 28, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of Reed and Gertrude Hutter Mitchell. Mrs. Falvo attended Washington High School and was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church. She was employed as a glass selector by Metro Glass and Taggart Valley Glass and was a member of GBBA Mrs. Falvo enjoyed crafts. On April 17, 1950, she married Louis J. Falvo, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Michael Patrick Falvo and his wife, Diane, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Celeste Jean Pavlik Falvo of Washington; a half-brother, Ernest Hutter of Luray, Va.; three grandchildren, Joshua, Jason and Michael Falvo; and a great grandson, Dominick Falvo. Deceased is a son, the Rev. David Joseph Falvo, who died September 8, 2004. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 20, in Mt. Herman Baptist Church, 200 Banetown Road, Amity, with the Rev. Joshua Falvo officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Mt. Herman Baptist Church.
