Dedicated Steeler fan Clarence H. Anderson Jr., 83, of Prosperity, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2002, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born October 26, 1918, in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of Clarence H. Sr. and Desi Dell Smith Anderson. Mr. Anderson had worked for more than 30 years as an aide at Mayview State Hospital. He was a member Keystone Baptist Temple and attended West Virginia University, Morgantown. Mr. Anderson was a World War II veteran. He enjoyed walking and was a dedicated Steeler fan. His wife, Lois L. Wright, died May 2, 2001. Surviving are four sons, Steven Anderson of West Virginia, Terry Anderson of Houston, Clarence H. Anderson III of Prosperity and Arthur W. Miller of New York; six daughters, Juanita Hanning of Prosperity, Tina Cunningham of Imperial, Marla Kulbacki of Prosperity, Isabelle Ward of Prosperity, Nora Jenkins of Lone Pine and Jody Robinson of Prosperity; 23 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; Deceased are a daughter, Emma Jane Anderson; and two grandchildren, Brittnay Anderson and Michael Paul Moschell. ANDERSON - Friends of Clarence H. Anderson Jr. of Prosperity, who died Thursday, August 15, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 19, with the Rev. Thomas E. Lemmon officiating. Interment in Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Canonsburg. Full military rites will be accorded by Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of American Legion. The family suggests memorials be made to American Heart Association.
