Washington resident was owner of Kozy Corner Bar Thomas Gene Sliman, 66, of Washington, died at 9:36 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in Washington Hospital. He was born February 12, 1937, in Washington, a son of Joseph Affif and Rose Arcuri Sliman. Mr. Sliman was Roman Catholic. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Sliman was a graduate of Washington High School. He was the owner/operator of Kozy Corner Bar in Washington. Mr. Sliman was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 22, Hawkins Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 927 and Taylorstown American Legion Post 907 and a former member of Alpine Club. He made his home with Sharon Pridgen. Surviving are a son, Timothy Gene Sliman of Houston; two daughters, Tracie Sliman Monahan and Debbie Hall Frye, both of Canonsburg; a brother, Robert J. Sliman of Washington; a sister, Regina Sliman Livelli of McMurray; and five grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers, John W., Edmund F. and Aldo Sliman; and a sister, Amelia Faiella. SLIMAN - Friends of Thomas Gene Sliman of Washington, who died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, with the Rev. Thomas D. O'Neil officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Washington County Humane Society or Angel PAWS.
