Washington Hospital EKG technician
Elizabeth Mary (Betty) Rock, 73, of Washington, died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2002, in Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
She was born August 5, 1929, in Washington, a daughter of Rudolph and Anna Machacek.
Mrs. Rock was a 1947 graduate of Trinity High School and was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington.
She was employed by Washington Hospital as an EKG technician for 18 years.
On September 25, 1948, she married Frank Rock, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Frank J. Rock of Hilton, N.Y., and Thomas A. Rock of Manchester, N.H.; two daughters, Joanne Jones and Carol Haines, both of Washington; eight grandchildren, Donald, Joel and Bryan Parrish, Darren Jones, Curtis Gregg, Brooke and Beth Haines and Thomas Rock; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a grandson, Robert Gregg; a brother who died in infancy; and a sister, Ann Kazarick.
ROCK - Friends of Elizabeth Mary (Betty) Rock of Washington, who died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, Washington, with the Rev. Thomas O'Neil as celebrant. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
