Margaret May Anderson, 92, formerly of Washington, died Friday, December 2, 2004, in McMurray Hills Manor following a brief illness.
She was born in Belle Vernon on May 4, 1912, a daughter of the late John William and Sabra Louise Powner Anderson.
Miss. Anderson was a 1934 graduate of East Washington High School and had worked for more than forty-four years at G.C. Murphy Company, first as a clerk and later as a buyer.
She was a member of the Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church and had attended Hart Avenue Church of The Nazarene. She was a member of Martha V. Paul # 404, Order of The Eastern Star.
Miss. Anderson was the last living member of her immediate family. She is survived by nieces, Joyce Anderson with whom she made her home, Linda Comstock, and Judy Yusko; nephews, James Anderson, John D. and Jamie Anderson, Charles Skirble and John Anderson; several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are five brothers, John W., Harry E., Robert, Walter P., and Alfred Anderson; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Catherine Anderson.
Friends of Margaret May Anderson, 92, formerly of Washington, who died Friday, December 2, 2004, will be received on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2004, Rev. Paul George officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
