Retired inspector for Jessop Steel
Aaron LeRoy Rugg, 67, of Washington, died at 4:35 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2002, in his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 29, 1935, in Confluence, a son of Aaron J. and Hannah Mae Johnson Rugg.
Mr. Rugg was Protestant.
He was employed as an inspector by Jessop Steel, retiring in 1979 after 23 years of service.
Mr. Rugg was a life member of Anawanna Hunting & Fishing Club and a member of Meadow Lands Sportsman's Club, Jessop Employee's Club and Pulaski Club.
On December 31, 1954, he married Frances Threse Lightner, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, David Aaron and Daniel Craig Rugg, both of Washington, and Donald Lee Rugg of Charleroi; a daughter, Deborah Ann Rugg of Washington; three brothers, Harry E. Rugg of Grantsville, Md., Lloyd W. Rugg of Washington and Floyd W. Rugg of Quincy, Mass.; a sister, Mary McClinick of Imperial; seven grandchildren, Eric, Amanda, Zachary, Daniel Jr., Christina, Jason and Joel Rugg; and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are two sisters, Celia A. Olson and Verna Rugg; and a brother, Herbert Rugg.
RUGG - At the request of the deceased, Aaron LeRoy Rugg of Washington, who died Friday, July 19, 2002, there will be no public visitation. Private services will be held Monday, July 22, at the convenience of the family, followed by interment in Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington.
