Charles Edward Porter Jr., 54, of Boonesboro MD, formerly of Washington, PA, died June 9th 2003 unexpectedly in his home. He was born August 13, 1948 in Washington, PA, a son of Charles Edward SR and Esther Susan Wagner Porter. Mr. Porter resided in the Washington area most of his life where he worked as a truck driver most recently at Box USA and Select Service Inc. of Eighty Four. He was a member of the Teamsters Union having a record of over 3 million miles of accident free driving. He also had worked as a facilities manager at the Barnesville School, Barnesville, MD. Mr. Porter was a member of the Episcopal Church of Transfiguration in Braddock Heights, MD. Mr. Porter enjoyed woodworking, spending time outdoors and being with his children and family. In 1995 he relocated to the Middletown, MD area upon marrying Barbara Koster Porter who survives. Also surviving are his first wife, Martha Strosser of Claysville, a daughter Christine Belfiore of Cecil, PA; a son Charles Joseph Porter of Claysville, PA and two step children Gail Koster of Middletown, MD, and Philip Koster of Washington State; Two grandchildren, Joseph Charles and Owen James Belfiore. Funeral services will be held in Maryland on Thursday, June 12, 2003 in the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, Braddock Heights at 1:30 PM. Additionally, Friends will be received from 5 to 9 PM on Friday, June 13, 2003 in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington where services will be held on Saturday, June 14 at a time to be announced. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
