Barbara Rae Sickles Meeker

November 17, 1945 — March 31, 2003

Barbara Rae Sickles Meeker, 57 of Prosperity, died Monday, March 31 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington on November 17, 1945 the daughter of the late James Raymond and Irma Romaine Markle Sickles. Mrs. Meeker was a home maker, and a member of the Upper Ten Mile Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Lagonda Home Makers, a former Girl Scout Leader, and enjoyed both playing bingo and camping. On December 15, 1979 she married Robert L. Meeker who survives. Also surviving are two sons; Richard L. Gray, Jr. of Tarentum and James C. Gray of Greensburg, a daughter Dawn Miller of Amity, and three step-sons; Robert Meeker, Jr. and Scott Meeker, both of Martins Ferry, Ohio and William Meeker of Shadyside, Ohio. A brother James Sickles and a sister Betty Kuhns, both of Washington, Four Grandchildren, Preston and Emily Miller, Meighan and Liam Gray, as well as six step-Grandchildren. Friends of Barbara Rae Sickles Meeker, who died on Monday, March 31, 2003 will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
