Ruth T. Harris

Member of Third U.P. Church Ruth T. Harris, 88, of Washington, died at 1:39 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2003, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington. She was born August 18, 1914, in Washington, a daughter of Albert and Cora Rizor Dornberger. Mrs. Harris was a member of Third United Presbyterian Church for more than 69 years. She formerly co-managed Keystone Shoe Store and was later employed by District Justice J. Albert Spence. Mrs. Harris was a 1931 graduate of Trinity High School and attended Penn Commercial for two years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and crafts. On September 19, 1934, she married Harold George Harris, who died October 11, 1974. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy J. Lemons of Waynesburg; three sisters, Thelma Crawford, Mildred Mayer and Kay Morgan, all of Washington; six grandchildren, Donald Willison, Cindy Meadows, Robert Lemons, Cathy King, William Lemons and Lori Bowser; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons. Deceased are a daughter, Patricia Willison; a brother, Albert Buddy Dornberger; and a granddaughter, Sherry Willison. HARRIS - Friends of Ruth T. Harris of Washington, who died Saturday, March 29, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, with the Rev. Leslie Shoup officiating. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Third United Presbyterian Church, 22 Cortez Drive, Washington, PA 15301
