Retired cafe manager at Trinity Middle School
Margaret Louise Laws Meeks, 71, of Washington, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2003, in Washington Hospital. She had been ill since August.
She was born June 14, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of John Robert and Leola VanKirk Laws.
Mrs. Meeks was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, Washington.
She worked for 28 years as cafe manager at Trinity Middle School in Washington, retiring in 1999.
Mrs. Meeks previously worked at Tygart Valley Glass for six years.
She was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School.
In August 1950, she married Wilbur Earl Meeks, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dale W. Meeks of Mesquite, Texas, and Roy Meeks, at home; a stepbrother, James Holston of Washington; a sister, Shirley Boswell of Washington; two stepsisters, Ann Louise McVeihl and Sandra Lee Comi; and four grandchildren, Kalab and Travis Hannen and Justin and Dylan Meeks.
Deceased is a daughter, Janet Lynn Hannen Bickus.
MEEKS - Friends of Margaret Louise Laws Meeks of Washington, who died Saturday, March 29, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 3, with the Rev. Larry G. Wiltrout officiating. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery.
