Anna V. Emery

Washington homemaker Anna V. Emery, 78, of Washington, died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003, in Canonsburg General Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was born March 3, 1925, in Terra Alta, W.Va., a daughter of Russell and Cora Lee Bucklew Hartman. Mrs. Emery was Protestant and a homemaker. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175. Her husband, Lewis Emery, died August 25, 1997. Surviving are two daughters, Fern Melvin of Washington and Wilma Caster of Meadow Lands; four grandchildren, Sharon Jungo, Rhonda Anderson, Donal MacPhail and Tresa Wrubleski; and six great-grandchildren.
