Albert J. Stellavato, 92, of Washington, died Sunday, October 24, 2004, in the Washington County Health Center following a lengthy illness. He was born in Crothers, on March 31, 1912, a son of Joseph Nicholas and Angela DeMartino Stellavato. Mr. Stellavato was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army. He had once worked at Jessop Steel Corporation as a Paymaster.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by five brothers, Melvin and Alfred Stell, James, Frank, and Anthony Stellavato; five sisters, Irene DeRose, Elvie Vitus, Emily Roth, Angeline Stellavato, and Mary Fiaella.
Friends of Albert J. Stellavato, 92, of Washington, who died Sunday, October 24, 2004, will be received on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 28, 2004, at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rev. William Feeney as celebrant. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
