Aldine Beryl Johns, 78, of Washington, died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004, in her home. She was born September 3, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of Albert and Chloe McDougal Carter. Mrs. Johns attended Washington High School and was a member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church. She was the owner of Ben Reynolds Music Co. She enjoyed cooking, reading, vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and buying for and spending time with her grandchildren. On June 26, 1946, she married Merl Curtis Johns, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Tracy Carter Johns and his wife, Pam, of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Linda Levers, wife of Alan, of Woodland Park, Colo., and Vicki Sisson, wife of John, of Washington; a brother, Emory Carter; four grandchildren, Maggie and Trey Sisson, Regan Dahl and Sarah Johns; and a great-grandchild, Sydni Dahl. Deceased is a brother, Edward Carter.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where additional visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 23, the hour of service, with the Rev. Norman Hunt officiating. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum. The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, American Cancer Society, 357 East Maiden Street, Washington, or John F. Kennedy Grade School, 111 West Spruce Street, Washington.
