Charles " Chick " W. Parsons, 78, of Washington, died on Thursday, October 21, 2004, at the Washington Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on September 18, 1926, in Washington, PA, a son of Andrew F. and Wilda Hamilton Parsons.
Mr. Parsons worked at Hazel Atlas for 4 years, Cress Box for 22 years and retired from Brockway Glass. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, square dancing, flea markets and sporting events. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and the Edwin Scott Linton Post #175 of the American Legion.
Mr. Parsons was an airplane mechanic in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
He was formerly married to Margaret Carlisle, who survives. Also surviving is a nephew, George Elliott. Deceased are 2 brothers, Andrew Floyd Parsons and Edward, who died as an infant; 4 sisters, Ruth Thomas, Nellie Elliott Loar, Dorothy Gratz and Hazel Parsons, who died as a teenager.
Family and friends of Charles "Chick" W. Parsons, who died Thursday, October 21, 2004, will be received Saturday from 7-9 and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA., where services will be held Monday, October 25, 2004 at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Larry G. Wiltrout officiating. Interment will follow at the Washington Cemetery. Military Rites graveside by Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion.
