Margaret Marie Suhay, 71, of Washington, PA, died at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at the Presbyterian Medical Center in Pittsburgh after a short illness. She was born on June 9, 1933, in Washington, PA, a daughter of James Gregory and Mary Leota Moore Smith Brownlee. Mrs. Suhay was a sales clerk at Sears, and also worked at Sheetz Convenience Store. She was a graduate of Trinity High School, and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mrs. Suhay enjoyed gardening, bottle collecting, bingo and golf. She loved cats and watching birds. She was an avid sports fan, enjoying both baseball and football. On October 23, 1951, she married Thomas Suhay, Sr., who died on April 25, 1985. Surviving are 2 sons, Thomas Suhay, Jr. and Gerald Lee Suhay, both of Washington, PA; 2 sisters, Janet Ruth Boardley, of Pensacola, FL, and Leota Mae “Tinyâ€쳌 Cummins, of Claysville, PA; 2 grandchildren, Courtney Lanette and Jeremy Thomas Suhay, several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and 4 great great nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, James G. Brownlee.
Friends of Margaret Marie Suhay, of Washington, PA, who died Tuesday, October 19, 2004, will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004, with Father Nicholas Spirko as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations to be made to J.F.K. School in her name.
