Molycorp metal worker
Snowden Allen Yeager, 90, of Washington, died Saturday, February 8, 2003, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
He was born January 22, 1913, in Whiteley Township, Greene County, a son of William J. and Ida Black Yeager.
Mr. Yeager was a member of Friendship Community Church of Washington.
He had been employed by Molycorp as a metal worker for 431Ú2 years before retiring in 1976.
On January 1, 1936, he married Ida Madolyn Briggs, who died February 18, 1986.
Surviving are a son, Randy Lynn Yeager of Treasure Lake; a daughter, Sharon Louise Yeager of Washington; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are five brothers, William, Harold, Lindsay, John and Melvin Yeager; and five sisters, Florence and Grace Yeager, Nancy Plants, Lucy Plott and Nellie Staverakis.
Private services were held, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment was in Washington Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington.
