Glenn E. Eustis, 77 of Washington, died Wednesday, February 26, 2003 in the Donnell Hospice House following a brief illness.
He was born on March 13, 1925 in Whitney, PA the son of Albert S. and Vista White Eustis, Sr.
Mr. Eustis was a graduate of Washington High School and a US Army Veteran having served with the 82nd Medical battalion, attached to the 12th armored Division in the European Theater.
Mr. Eustis is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Washington, American Legion Post # 175, and had enjoyed playing dartball in various local leagues. Prior to retirement, he worked more than 31 years at Union Camp as a Paper Mill Worker. He was a member of Pulp & Sulfite Local # 529 and had once served as president. Also, he was past President of the Union Camp Federal Credit Union.
On March 4, 1950 he married Ilah F. " Sally " Sim who survives. Also surviving are a son, Glenn E. Eustis II of Chartiers Township, two daughters, Cynthia LaFond of Baltimore, Maryland and Malinda Eustis of Washington; a brother, Charles Eustis of Delhi, New York, a sister Estella Matthews of Lewes, Deleware as well as three grandchildren; Jared and Garren LaFond, and Alexander Eustis.
Mr. Eustis is preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and George Eustis.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, the time of service, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Rev. Duane thompson officiating. Interment will be private in Washington Cemetery. Family requests memorial donations be made to the Donnell House, Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301 or the charity of ones choice.
