Mary Belle Goga, 88, of Washington, died Monday, December 17, 2007, following a two-month illness.
She was born July 2, 1919, in Cross Creek, a daughter of Millard Earl and Helen Powelson Findling.
Mrs. Goga was a graduate of Midway High School and worked in the deli at Town and Country Market for 22 years and at Gaylord’s for eight years.
She enjoyed traveling and playing cards. Mrs. Goga bowled in two leagues and was very active with the Senior Citizens Center.
She was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Canonsburg.
On February 21, 1944, she married Charles Goga, who died August 27, 1978.
Surviving are a son, Charles (Lori) Goga; one daughter, Judy Rush Burt; two brothers, Samuel (Roberta) Findling and Raymond (Barbara) Findling, all of Washington; a sister-in-law, Betty Findling; and three grandchildren, Heather Rush, Melissa Wetzel and Michael Goga.
Deceased are two brothers, John Findling and Ralph (June) Findling.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd. 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007, with Father Joseph Jugan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
