Edward A. Sienkiel, 73, of Washington, died Saturday, January 26, 2008, in The Washington Hospital.
He was born October 11, 1934, in Washington, a son of the late Albert and Josephine Florek Sienkiel.
Mr. Sienkiel attended Trinity High School and served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Corregidor.
After 36 years of service, he retired from Owens-Brockway Glass as a foreman.
Mr. Sienkiel was a long-time member of the Polish Club in Washington.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and his dog, Lucy.
Surviving are his ex-wife, Saundra Mowl Sienkiel; two daughters, Amy (Doug) Cook and Sheri (Greg Rhodes) Glendenning; four grandchildren, Joshua Bradford, Shaina Glendenning, Gregory Rhodes, Jr., and Dylan Rhodes; one great-grandson, Jerrin Glendenning; two brothers, Norbert Sienkiel and Joseph Sienkiel, all of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
