Longtime Washington Mould employee was musician.
Ralph Ray Lambright, 77, of Washington, formerly of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 8, 2005, in his home.
He was born March 20, 1928, in Gnadenhutten, a son of Edward Austin and Reba Alice McCoun Lambright.
Mr. Lambright served three years in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II in Okinawa and attained the rank of sergeant.
Mr. Lambright was Methodist.
He was employed by Washington Mould for 42 years as a moulder in the foundry.
He was a member of Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175, Senior Citizens Center and AARP and was an avid Washington High School Little Prexies football fan.
He was a guitarist, vocalist and bassman, known by the name of Ralph Ray in many bands, the latest Hilda Ray Trio.
On April 25, 1941, he married Norma Mosier, who died July 1, 2002.
His companion was Theresa Pearl.
Surviving are two daughters, Toni Phillips and Jody Lambright, both of Washington; a sister, Winona Beatty of Mingo Junction, Ohio; three grandchildren, Christa McDowell, Carla Phillips and Michael Lambright; and two great-grandchildren, Ty Craft and Jake Phillips.
Deceased are three brothers, Jim, Allen and Carl Lambright; and two sisters, Sarah Heimberger and Jean Ostrander.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the hour of service, Friday, June 10, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Washington Senior Citizens.
