Isabel Elizabeth Thomas, 86, of Las Vegas, Nev., died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2003, in the home of her daughter, following a three-month illness.
She was born April 3, 1916, in Washington, a daughter of Tufick and Sadie Sliman Tannous.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington.
She had been employed as an occupational therapist for Washington Hospital.
Surviving are a son, Paul Risbin of Woodstock, Ga.; a daughter, Carol Risbin Turner Barnett of Las Vegas; four sisters, Alexandria "Elkie" Elias of Washington, Virginia Ascosi of Silver Spring, Md., Julia Wolfe of Glenn Mills and Mary Lewis of Lewistown; four grandchildren, Stacey Risbin Shipe, Thomas Michael Risbin, Roger Craig and Erin Courtney Turner; and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a twin brother, Tony Thomas; and two grandchildren, Amy Lee Risbin and Paul William Risbin II.
THOMAS - Friends of Isabel Elizabeth Thomas of Las Vegas, Nev., who died Tuesday, February 18, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 24, with the Rev. John Bauer officiating. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to a charity of the donor's choice or Hospice of Washington Hospital.
