Member of Immaculate Conception Church Mildred K. Strnisha, 70, of Washington, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2003, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born March 25, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of Andrew and Lucy Malik Keron. Mrs. Strnisha was a 1951 graduate of Trinity High School and a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington and SNPJ Lodge 617. Mrs. Strnisha had been employed as a packer at Hazel-Atlas Glass Plant 2. On May 12, 1954, she married William Strnisha, who survives. Also surviving are a son, William Strnisha of Washington; four daughters, Sophie Babeji, Joyce Strnisha and Linda and Carol O'Brien, all of Washington; a brother, Rudolph (Rudy) Keron of Washington; two sisters, Mary Slavikosky of Gainesville, Fla., and Josephine Roupe of Washington; eight grandchildren, Amanda Strnisha, Joseph, Martin, Connor, Kelsie, Zachary and Missouri O'Brien and Justin Babeji. Deceased are two sisters, Margaret Williams and Anna Keron; and five brothers, Joe, Andrew, Steven "Hambone," Robert "Rowboat" and John "Shoes" Keron. STRNISHA - Friends of Mildred K. Strnisha of Washington, who died Tuesday, February 11, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 15, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, with the Rev. Nicholas Spirko as celebrant. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
