Leah R. Seibert

Washington homemaker. Leah R. Seibert, 84, of Washington, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born February 8, 1924, in Washington, a daughter of Alonzo "Lonnie" and Garnet Greer Vankirk. She was a graduate of Washington High School and was a homemaker. On June 27, 1956, she married Donald H. Seibert, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Donald Scott (Theresa) and Tracey (Chauntay) Seibert of Washington; two daughters, Sandra (Thomas) Laurine of Claysville and Kelly Young of Washington; a sister, Lydia Harton of Washington; seven grandchildren, Brian and Brent Laurine, Heather Grimes, Joshua and Cory Young and Natalie and Matthew Seibert; and 10 great-grandchildren. Deceased are four sisters, Opal Russel, Mattie Wheeler, Emily Logan and Gertrude Stoner. At the request of the deceased, no public visitation was held, and private services were held with burial in Washington Cemetery. The family is requesting memorial donations be made to Washington Women's Shelter Inc., 624 Washington Trust Building, Washington, PA 15301.
