Charter member of South Strabane fire auxiliary
Anna A. Baumgardner, 72, of Manifold, died at 11:03 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2002, in her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born January 12, 1930, in Manifold, a daughter of Andrew and Anna Kita Apache.
Mrs. Baumgardner was a homemaker and a 1947 graduate of Trinity High School.
She was a member of Central Assembly of God in Meadow Lands and a charter member of South Strabane Fire Department Auxiliary.
On September 25, 1948, she married John P. Baumgardner, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Kirk Baumgardner of Berea, Ky., Kent Baumgardner of Cape Coral, Fla., and Kary Baumgardner of Washington; a daughter, Carol Dean of Washington; a brother, Donald Apache of Scotts Hill, Tenn.; three sisters, Pearl Roach and Rose Apache, both of Washington, and Irene Comito of Clemmons, N.C.; and nine grandchildren, Shawn and Sera Baumgardner, Cheri Varner, Shane and Adam Baumgardner, Max and Kyle Dean, Amber Wagner and Lexi Baumgardner.
Deceased is a sister, Elizabeth Apache.
BAUMGARDNER - Friends of Anna A. Baumgardner of Manifold, who died Thursday, May 9, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
