Mary Jane Williams

Mary Jane Williams, 79, of Claysville, died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2002, in Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was born October 12, 1922, in Washington, a daughter of Harry Melvin Sr. and Minnie Margarete Hickman Plants. Mrs. Williams worked for Ullom's Rest Home in Washington and later in Claysville. Her husband, Oliver Williams, died in 1981. Surviving are a son, John Williams of Urbana, Ohio; a stepson, Oliver Williams Jr. of Junction City, Ore.; four brothers, Russell, Walter and A. Ray Plants, all of Washington, and Charles Plants of Youngstown, Ohio; a sister, Marie Wilson of Ashtabula, Ohio; three grandchildren; and 11 step-grandchildren. Deceased are two stepdaughters, Olive May Shebertes and Irene Betty Williams; and a brother, Harry M. Plants Jr. WILLIAMS - Friends of Mary Jane Williams of Claysville, who died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
