Blanche M. Crupe, 76, of Amity, formerly of Findlay Street, Washington, died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2002, in Washington Hospital.
She was born March 8, 1926, in Bristoria, Greene County, a daughter of David and Nanny Brewler Simpson.
Mrs. Crupe was Protestant.
She had been employed by Flap Jacks for 10 years and was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Washington Eagles Lodge.
Mrs. Crupe enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo.
On May 9, 1951, she married John Delmer Crupe, who died April 10, 1963.
Surviving are three sons, John David Crupe of Amity, Blaine Robert Crupe of West Middletown and William Andrew Simpson of Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; Carrie, Johnny, Heather, Megan, Joshua and Michael Crupe and Andrew and Nicole Simpson; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Sarah Allen; two brothers, Andrew and Paul Simpson; and three grandchildren who died in infancy.
CRUPE - Friends of Blanche M. Crupe of Amity, formerly of Findlay Street, Washington, who died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, with the Rev. Raymond C. Schafer officiating. Interment in West Alexander Cemetery.
