Frances C. Vorum, 77, of Washington, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2002, in her home.
She was born April 6, 1925, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Gigliotti.
Mrs. Vorum was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Washington, and Penn Commercial Business College.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, where she was a eucharistic minister and a member of Christian Mothers. She also was a member of Italian Sons and Daughters of America, Vittoria Lodge, John F. Kennedy Quilters, Friendship Club of Immaculate Conception, Brownson House Auxiliary and Martha Washington Quilters Guild. She was a bridge player for 50 years and was a member of Duplicate Bridge Organization.
Mrs. Vorum was employed by the Internal Revenue Service from 1947 to 1949 and worked as a secretary-treasurer at City Motors, Washington, at the time of her death.
On July 20, 1949, she married Stephen H. Vorum, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Charles V. Vorum of Acme, Stephen H. Vorum Jr. of West Alexander and Daniel F. Vorum of Southpointe; a sister, Louise Anderson of New Orleans, La.; and three grandchildren, Kory, Stephen III and Vincent Vorum.
Deceased are two brothers, Samuel and Gabriel Frank Corabi; and two sisters, Mary Ann Corabi and Minnie Vesco.
Friends of Frances C. Vorum of Washington, who died Saturday, April 27, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Entombment will follow in St. James Mausoleum at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
