Gertrude R. Wright, 90, of Thomas Campbell Apartments, Washington, died at 9 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2002, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington.
She was born February 11, 1912, in Washington, a daughter of Silas V. and Myrtle May Miles Seaman.
Mrs. Wright had been employed at Washington & Jefferson College for 20 years in the food service department, prior to retirement.
She was a member of Third United Presbyterian Church since 1922 and had been the oldest living member, and was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class.
Surviving are daughter, Jane Paul of Washington; seven grandchildren, Sandy Boles, George Wright, Floyd Wright, Edward Wright, Betty Jane Cahill, Linda McCartney and Susan Wilcox; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are son, William V. Wright; a daughter, Carol Ann Wright; and three brothers, Clyde, Walter and Frank Seaman.
WRIGHT - Friends of Gertrude R. Wright of Thomas Campbell Apartments, Washington, who died Thursday, April 25, 2002, will be received from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 29, with the Rev. Lesley Shoup officiating. Interment in Washington Cemetery.
