Lucille Strawn

Member of Martha Washington Quilters Guild Lucille (LuLu) Strawn, 64, of Washington, died at 10:40 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2002, in Donnell House, Washington, following a lengthy illness. She was born January 25, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of the late Carmen and Romaine Zullo Mongelluzzo. Mrs. Strawn attended Washington High School and Assembly of God Church. She was self-employed, having owned and operated Second Time Around, Book Exchange and Finishing Touch Wallpaper Sales, all in Washington. Mrs. Strawn was a member of Italian Sons and Daughters, and was an officer and member of Vittoria Lodge 76 and Martha Washington Quilters Guild. On August 20, 1955, she married James Richard (Dick) Strawn, who survives. Also surviving are her stepfather, John Ricco; three sons, Michael Strawn of Finleyville, Jeffrey Strawn of Washington and Gregory Strawn of Canonsburg; a brother, Joseph Mongelluzzo of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Donna Thomas of Tacoma, Wash.; four grandchildren, Aaron, Brennan, Cameron and Connor Strawn; and several nieces and nephews. STRAWN - Friends of Lucille (LuLu) Strawn of Washington, who died Monday, May 6, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, with the Rev. Ralph Volpe officiating. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery. Vittoria Lodge will hold services at 3 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, South College Street, Washington, PA 15301.
