Donna Louise Mancina, 72, of Washington, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, April 21, 2002, in Washington Hospital. She had been ill since January. She was born December 1, 1929, in Washington, a daughter of Wilbert James "Red" and Gladys Hazel Allen Carpenter. Mrs. Mancina was a member of Friendship Community Church and was a former employee of Ankrom Nursing Home. She had helped to start Canton Township Volunteer Fire Department and was active in the auxiliary many years ago. On November 21, 1947, she married Salvatore Mancina, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Samuel J. Mancina of Houston; two daughters, Joyce L. Paluda and Peggy A. Mancina, both of Washington; a sister, Mary Jane Mancina of Washington; five grandchildren, Jennifer R. and Brian S. Paluda, and Michael J., Denise N. and Matthew J. Mancina; and a great-grandson. Deceased is a brother, James (Jimbo) Carpenter. MANCINA - At the request of the deceased, Donna Louise Mancina of Washington, who died Sunday, April 21, 2002, no public visitation will be held. Services will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Friendship Community Church Building Fund. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
