Former worker at Krause's Antiques in Washington
Nell G. Herron, 84, of Washington, died Saturday, June 22, 2002, in Donnell House, Washington, following a brief illness.
She was born April 11, 1918, in Church Fork, W.Va., a daughter of Harry Benton and Ada Gail Fender Butcher.
Mrs. Herron had worked at S.A. Mayer Co. and Krause's Antiques, both in Washington.
She was a member of Church of the Covenant, Washington.
Mrs. Herron was a 1937 graduate of Trinity High School and a graduate of Penn Commercial.
On May 30, 1940, she married Clifford Herron, who died March 21, 1965.
Surviving are a son, Dennis Herron of Greensburg; two sisters, Gail Krause and Delores Palfreman, both of Washington; a grandson, Joseph C. Herron; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Robert L. Herron; a brother, Merle "Butch" Butcher; and a half-sister, Jesse Stiles.
HERRON - Friends of Nell G. Herron of Washington, who died Saturday, June 22, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, with the Rev. Thomas Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to Donnell House, Leet Street, Washington.
