Member of Alpine ladies dartball team Lola Lee Prowitt, 63, of Washington, died at 1:25 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2002, in her home. She was born September 8, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of the late Thomas and Doreen Phillips McCombs. Mrs. Prowitt was employed at Herds Drug Store, Washington, Bluebird Cafe, Washington, and was last employed as a pharmacy technician at CVS. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. Mrs. Prowitt was a member of Alpine ladies dartball team for more than 25 years. She attended Washington High School. On May 3, 1975, she married Nathan R. Prowitt, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Michael Prowitt, at home; a stepson, Jeffrey Prowitt of Washington; a daughter, Melissa Knizner of Marianna; a stepdaughter, Karen Harrison of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Thomas McCombs II of Washington; and seven grandchildren, Colin, Dylan and Mickayla Prowitt, Corbin and Carli Harrison and Jacob and Nathan Knizner. Deceased is a sister, Anita Malie. PROWITT - Friends of Lola Lee Prowitt of Washington, who died Saturday, June 8, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, with the Rev. Jeffrey A. Patton officiating. Interment will be in Amity Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
